The most recommended way to feed your Koi is to provide them with a mixture of Koi fish food. This includes giving them a commercial formula which is then supplemented with natural foods. This will also ease up the cost of purchasing Koi fish food from your pet store, as this can become very expensive.

During the winter months your Koi will be less active and will not require that much Koi fish food at all. When the winter temperature drops below 55 degrees Fahrenheit you will not have to feed your fish. There will be enough food in the pond itself to sustain them during this time.

When it comes to feeding Koi fish food try to match their food to what they would normally eat if left to fend for themselves. This will keep them healthy for many years.
